For me, Fairytales = Happily Ever After.
I think this is something many would agree on.....
Although I've known that not all Fairy Tales have happy ending, I managed to put that in the back on my mind, not thinking of it until today

and to think I was complaining about the ending of Enchanted

this also brought to mind a misconception I had.....
I always though of the Western children being very lucky in having good parents....
how many times have u heard the story that if u cry the police will come and get u when you were young,
or that the orang minyak (or anything else according to your culture, I cannot write wat was mine. it was racists :P) is coming to get you
or other scary story that are meant to scare u not to do something?
I now know all children in the world suffers the same fate. (cept for the post Disney babies)

by comparison, i would say the books we read when we were young (like 10 yrs ago...Enid Blyton era) are so tame...compare to then and now
then we have hands chopped off and everything and
the children books right now are not as 'clean' as it was before.... there are like smoking....and stuff
call me a prude but I love the enid blyton era...it made growing up fun and informative...
there are so many books that i can look back fondly!! the Malory tower series, chalet school (I love these a lot).....

I always wanted to read the old fairy tales (they are the originals) but never had time to do so....now, I'm thinking of shelving the plans once a for all.
I want to keep my memory...sweet....

the mission started 4.30 am in the morning.....getting ready for Aurora
by 6 we were on the road to Aurora outlets, 2 hours later (-1 because of time zone, ) we started quest to get the best deal out there at 7
after 4 hours or so....we ended the buying part of the trip and next comes the eating part!!!
first we had soy milk then dim sum then its dinner at Joy Yee, ending with a cup of the famous Avocado topoica freeze

This is my first real black friday and it was really an experience....
the economic downturn translated into more discounts!!!! although there seemed to be less ppl out shopping, some things just don't change, like the line in front of Coach...it just keeps growing and growing...

as I watch her MVs, I remember the new Hillary Duff MV i just saw just now...
wat a difference...
one is selling music...the other...
I can't even recognize her anymore...

I have never talked about this album in depth yet.
is might be one of my fav in terms of the new look and image....
deep inside me i know the jellyfish was just a phase...and i accepted it....
and the bangs have never been the thing for me....
i rather prefer the crazy hairstyle in Devil Beside you
but this time....
i love it....although it might be more mainstream now...but u can still recognize that its her.
and her clothes....so much better....though the pink T-shirt...is too.....
at least they changed it.

music wise....in terms of vocals...she have changed a lot from the start.
my all time favorite song would still be Zi Xiang Ai Ni. (it is the song that made me notice her)
the new album boast a different style of songs....
and the rockish elements of the song made them a great song to listen to.

when i first heard this song, i though it was too ridiculous...
but as u really listen to...u will feel that it is so true...
we do so many things to please others
