ChicagoI'm back from chicago......and I had LOADS of fun.
ok la....not loads la...i think i can only have loads of fun in the comfort of home with a nice tv in front of me....u guys know me la.....lazy to the bones...
the first day.....went to Amtrak station at 7.30.....then received bad news........the train is delayed for 1 to 1.5 HOURS.....SHIT.........well the guys haven't had breakfast so we walked around Lafayette for breakfast....but since it was Thanksgiving day, no stores were open. so we went back to the station and they had something from the vending machine..........and I sat down, pulled out my laptop and started on WWL1........YAY
i called Kian Guan then and discovered he missed the bus to Union Station ....Oh Oh
 at 9.17, we were on the train and on our way to Chicago. the train is pretty comfortable.....like our Malaysian Bus Express......big seats and space. then got plug somemore........watch movie la...what else to do
then sleeparound 11.17 chicago time we arrived at Union Station.....got down from the train and was clueless what to do.........hahahahha
but first we went and meet with fong tat who didn't miss the bus from Madison.
then we went to the metra counter to buy tickets to go up to Glenview. after buying the tickets, i realized i didn't know where to go to take the train....so the guys went to ask some police they see in the hall while i went to look at the monitors showing departure time.......it was then i realized the info is all there on the monitor but i'm not sure where to go yet.....clueless i am. i also did the same mistake i did it LA......forget to switch my watch to local time hahahah
so i went back and meet with the guys who are still talking to the cops.......after that...we followed the instructions given. 'go out on Jackson st and turn and walk two blocks' so we followed.....wait...are we suppose to turn right or left? we finally decided to turn left bacuse right is like a partking lot.....then we walked out and walked two blocks.....wait.....two blocks to the right or to the left? hahhahahhahhah so we finally decided to ask someone else and were told we take the train in Union station
we were misled by the cops
 .....good thing we are lazy ppl who are afraid of the cold and walking LOLafter that we went to the waiting area and waited for the train that will arrive in 35 minutes....then KG called and told us that they will be arriving soon from O'Hare....so i went and bought tickets for him and Chia Wern...........when i went back to Track 15, the train is there ....wait......the train is on track 13 not 15 hahhahahaha
Finally...the train arrived and CW and KG also arrive...so we went on board on our first of many Metra trip.
eh....it seems i'm crapping a lot ya? ok la cut story short
we went all the way to Golf, had May come over and pick us up....2 trips.....Thanks may and your friend Zuhaili (did i get the name right)?
then we spent the rest of the day at glenview......made some satays, walk around a little.....then went for dinner at MSDC director's house ate.......Turkey....the animal not the country......:P
the next day was a walking tour....we walk for like miles and miles........went from union station to Millenium park then back to Sear's Tower....crazy i know
then.....after lunch, from Sear tower, we walked to Sear's Mall (now u must be thinking its pretty near right? both Sears.....WRONG) Sear's Mall is around Madison and State........then we walked to Congress Pkwy and state which u can see on the map above. From there we head NORTH along Michigan Avenue to look at the Magnificent Mile ----------Burberry, Hugo Boss, Niketown, AX, Saks Fifth Avenue..........ahhhhh Heaven from RICH shoppers.....for the rest......an unforgetable experience. :P after that it was quite late, so we walked back to Union Station to go back to Glenview. at the Golf Station, we finally took a cab back .....it cost 7USD a trip...not much only around 1.75 per person :P good!! had dinner of Satay and the works....Yummy........then we plan for tomorrow and decided to take the 11.40 train out of Golf. before sleep, i said that the latest that we can sleep in is until 10 and what time did I wake up? 10.....chun chun hhahahaha went to the station and finally meet Shih Yi after so many months....damn i miss u all back in Malaysia. when we reach Union Station......we went to get our bus and subway pass for the day......then i realized there is a thing called a visitor pass that offers unlimited rides on all the buses and subways....ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH.....wasted the whole day walking yesterday....so pissed. anyway......we went out to wait for the bus...after a few minutes, we decided to walk down to State st instead of taking the bus........from there we took the sub down to Chinatown and the first thing we saw is.....PENANG.....yes!!!!! malaysian food. me and Shih ended up sharing Roti Canai, Char Kuey Teow and Curry Mee.....not bad........quite nice after that we walked Chinatown a little.....nothing much just like any streets in China ....shops after shops selling food. finally.......we went back to Union Station and that is the end of our trip to Chicago reach Lafayette about 10pm ......gonna do it again next year :P
Global Warming Is It or is it not?Indiana is a crazy state. The weather here has more moods than anyone i know.
a week ago, it was cold. it was so cold i cannot walk out without my thickest coat.
then i was worried. do i need more clothes. then...as suddenly as it turned cold, the weather is now HOT
and this morning, it was raining. and they are saying it is going to snow Thursday. and i'm going to go to Chicago......i'm so sick of this crazy weather.
it've been a week since my last entry...and nothing much happened. just the usual class and stuff.
Hopefully there will be more when i come back from Chicago.

可是我觉得考得不是很好。希望可以成功过关。
 我上个星期拿到了我的新书包。
还没开始用要等下个星期去chicago才用。
我本来好像有很多东西写可是忽然想不起。好奇怪。
我下学期会搬到owen hall ， 刚收到信。到时，可以感觉到生活在宿舍的生活，希望我不会后悔这个决定。
我下星期回去chicago玩三天，想趁大减价买便宜的东西，也想和其他朋友们见见面。
最后，我要跟全部将考ＳＴＰＭ的人说加油！！！！
In the EndLee Hom Concert....Should I or Shouldn't I?Wait.....Jay concert too
i think this should be pretty familiar to some of u.... the front part have been my PM for the past 2 weeks while the back part was added 2 days ago.
For this Christmas, I first plan to spent it with this cutie
he is having a concert in San Francisco on 23rd Dec but the cost is quite a lot. ticket (must get more expensive ones), accomodations, food, air ticket.....all these add up to ALOT.
so someone told me bout this
so, i have been thinking quite a lot.....宏宏.....my idol,my brother in law, my best friends' husband （he is related to me through a very complicated series of family tree since it seems he has a whole busload of wives)[and note the use of 宏宏 is right reserved]
or Jay.....someone i dislikes and disrespect (come on Jay...for once in your life be a man instead of a whining child)
.......and I have finally made my decision
I will be spending my Christmas with.......

i forgot that my aunt has bought me tickets for the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL CONCERT and it is on the same day......so stupid

last week... I went to HEAVEN. I sincerely love US then.....y?
I bought 18 story books for USD 4.50.......4.50.....convert to Malaysia only RM20. cannot even get 1
although these are second hand... they are in pretty good condition.
this has made me realize something really sad. I love to read but i don't love my books (some of my books back home are in worse conditions than this. sad)
I aslo saw something funny
it was around 5.30 (last class) and a police car actually stopped the ongoing traffic to allow the cars in the junction to go.....shocked me when i saw it. i was just walking home when suddenly instead of turning... the car just shoots in front. don't see this happening in Malaysia unless your car has a state issued badge on it. (in malaysia VIP only. not for commoners like us)
